Matrix Re-loaded

Exhibition by Xanthe Dobbie

Xanthe Dobbie developed this exhibition to align with their PhD ‘Future Artefact: Queer Media Archeological Approaches to the Active Archive’

The future is now…but for how long?

In an exploration of their expansive practice, Xanthe Dobbie re-spawns cyberfeminism to bring you On-Site: Matrix Re-loaded.

As part of their ongoing research, Dobbie explores historical and contemporary cyberfeminism through intersections of art, technology, and pop culture. Matrix Re-loaded questions the now and envisions new possibilities— the future of the digital age. In the largest display of Dobbie’s work to date, shown alongside revitalised digital artworks and artifacts from the ‘90s, this exhibition expands on and interrogates the narratives we tell using and surrounding technology.

Matrix Re-loaded includes works by Xanthe Dobbie, Linda Dement, VNS Matrix and Runway Journal.
