Big New Sites: Virtual Theme Parks

VNS Matrix was commissioned by The Performance Space, Sydney to create four slide images for the Big New Sites project. In total 12 Australian contemporary artists were commissioned to create works for slide which that were presented before the feature film on mainstream cinema screens across Australia for 12 months from 31 August 1995:

For the commission, VNS Matrix created ‘Virtual Theme Parks’. Computer generated imagery of four ‘planet-worlds’ with recorded voiceover of a script to accompany each world.
